Terberg is globally active in the development, production and modification of special transport vehicles and systems for port terminals, logistics and waste collection.
We also offer a wide range of complementary services for these vehicles, either directly or through our global service network. These include maintenance, spare parts supply, retrofit, repair, rental and telematics. In this way, we help customers optimize the reliability and cost-effectiveness of their equipment.
As a family business, we focus on sustainable growth and innovation based on our core values, which have made us successful for more than 150 years. Terberg has more than 3,000 employees working in 15 countries all over the world.
In 1869 Johannes Bernardus Terberg set up as a blacksmith in Benschop, near Utrecht in the Netherlands. Early 1900's Terberg was selling bicycles, repairing cars and supplying spare parts.
After the second World War the company started modifying American army trucks for civilian use and opened garages.
From that period through to the present, the Royal Terberg Group established international subsidiaries and built up a worldwide network of distributors in several specialist vehicles markets.
In 2008 Terberg took over the truck-mounted forklift specialist Kinglifter and continuously developed products and sales since that day. The outsourcing of Terberg Kinglifter as an independent division 2022 below the importance of this activity.
